Staying Hydrated This Winter

Winter brings cold air and dry heat, and your body can suffer because of it. Symptoms of dehydration include fatigue, headache, and dizziness. Yikes! Here are some easy ways to stay hydrated:
Keep a large bottle of water with you at all times, and aim to refill it 2-3 times a day. You’ll drink it faster than you think if it’s within arm’s reach!
Consider getting a humidifier for your dorm room. Inexpensive ones are sold at most drugstores, and they can make a big difference in the quality of your sleep.
If you’re not a fan of plain water, add a couple slices of lemon, cucumber, or other fruit. Natural flavorings are much healthier than sugary juices, and cheaper than buying flavored water. Get creative!
Often we think we’re hungry when we’re really only thirsty. Try drinking a glass of water first and see how you feel.
Still need a reminder? Check out the “Plant Nanny” app. It’s a cute little plant that needs to be watered regularly…like you!
